L’Erocia Britannia

L’Erocia Britannia Festival and Bike race in Bakewell – some yummy, colourful and sunny photography.

So when I’m not photographing weddings and stuff then I’m usually photographing something else! I like taking photos I do. Stu suggested on my day off that we go and look at some bikes… I’m not the sporty type and the last time I got on a bike I managed about 4 miles and had a sore bum for a week.. so as you can imagine I wasn’t keen! I googled the festival L’Erocia Britannia and the website was pretty cool! arty stuff, vintage stuff, colourful retro bicycles and so on, a few stalls, selling bicycle bits and bobs, cakes,  nibbles, more bike stuff, bike hats, bike outfits, miniature bikes, full size bikes… oh and a big red Pimms bus bar… now you are talking!

So off we went, I thought it’d be a great opportunity to do a bit of photography. The sun was shining Toby was all packed up with his hat and sunglasses. We met up with the family and had a wander around. Inbetween chasing Toby (who wanted to stroke every dog he saw and eat everything) I took some photographs! Then I spend about half an hour in Lightroom making the colours pop…

Hope you like them! If you spot yourself holler! I’d have loved to have spent longer on the photography here but we only stayed for a couple of hours and it’s quite tricky when you have a 2 year old with you! Maybe Stu and I will camp there next year and do the full weekend…. Stu on his vintage road bike and I’ll just be happy with my camera in hand doing some serious photography  … I will hopefully get some of the racers next year:)
